I am beginning a new chapter in my career, hand in hand with Lucia Gugerli.
I wanted to experiment with my practice differently, and to do so I wanted to start co-creating and no longer be alone onstage.
Lucia and I met during the DanceWeb and ATLAS programme at Impulstanz in the summer of 2023. it was a genuine spark, and it felt obvious that we had to work together.
in October 2025, we were able to begin experimenting together during a week-long residency, with a presentation at the end of the week as part of a festival focused on in situ practices in Geneva.
what draws us is the tension that lies under the smooth and calm appearances of an image and the complexity and chaos it hides.
we are interested in this particular paradox: finding beauty in what is complex, stressful, uncomfortable.
in our practice, this translates into a taste for cringe, for sarcasm, for what is badly made, hesitant, imperfect.
our artistic interests lie in the play and the deception inherent to live performance: its disobedience, its discipline (or lack thereof), its assumed non-professionalism, its camp quality, its rigorous forms coexisting with over-stimulating and sometimes absurd rules we like to play on, the line between the real and the fake, to unsettle the audience's certainty: what is performed? where does the performance begin? what place do those who watch occupy?
we are not trying to reassure,
we are trying to create a light but persistent friction between what is shown and what is felt.
the creation will takes place in spring 2028 at Pavillon ADC in Geneva.
